Yes. NarrateX runs entirely on your device with no cloud dependency. Nothing you read is uploaded anywhere. Beyond the one-off voice-model download, its only recurring network request is a daily check of the project's GitHub releases for a newer version; it carries nothing about you and fails silently without a connection.
NarrateX uses the Kokoro neural text-to-speech voice running locally on your machine, so it sounds natural rather than robotic, with no internet connection required.
